///// //////////fur//// workshop @ ECAL what do you get when you lock in two fur members, 40 kilos of electronic parts and twelve design students? Zai, etoy core-member and Professor in the Media and Interaction Design department of ECAL, the art school of Lausanne, invited us to hold a one week workshop for 2nd and 3rd year students. Aim of the session was to help students leave the standard input devices of computers behind and develop new ways of interacting with their machines. After a presentation of what we do and introductions in electronics, the use of the ServiceUSB interface device and Macromedia Director, the dedicated students came up with some great ideas and we helped them become reality within the week! Of course some pain was involved, too! Project 01: Laser Snake The two player run around game with potential for the Olympics.
